Fatal Error "Communications link failure"

The first time you run Farm Report, it will attempt to connect to the master stock items database (in the cloud). If port 3306 is being blocked by your firewall program, you will get this error.

In this case, you must instruct your firewall program to open port 3306 (TCP protocol). The procedure to do this is dependent on your operating system, and your firewall program. Instructions for opening the port in Windows Firewall can be found here.
